Kilkenny Art Gallery. Dec 2004

Ale Mercado is currently exhibiting two pieces in the Kilkenny Art Gallery. This permanent exhibition is privately funded and managed by local artist Brock Butler. The exhibition is supported by the Arts Council as well.

This piece was one of the core exhibition works at the opening of the Kilkenny Art Gallery, Kieran Street Kilkenny. Opening night was held on the 30th November 2004 and was attended by many main artistic influences based in and around the Kilkenny area

United Arts Club. Dublin Sept 2003

Life Drawing Exhibition sessions are held every Thursday in the United Arts Club in Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin organized by the IGI. All the regulars displayed their work.

The exhibition included works from Ale Mercado, Brian Gallagher, Joven Kerekes, P.J. Lynch and Tom Byrne among others

Guinness Storehouse. Dublin Nov 2003

As a member of the Illustrators Guild of Ireland, Ale Mercado took part in this exhibition. Under the title of The Coloured Stuff, it was held in the Guinness Storehouse from November 11th to November 20th 2003.

Jim Fitzpatrick did the honours in the opening night where the annual IGI awards where given away.

Chester Beatty Library. Dublin Nov 2002

This was the first IGI exhibition ever. It couldn't have been held ina better place.

The Chester Beatty Library is considered to be the world most important private collection of manuscripts. It was chosen European Museum of 2001.

The exhibition was titled Illustration: The Art of Contemporary Illumination. It was opened on 7th November 2002 and closed on 5th January 2003.

The exhibition showed works from all the IGI members.
