Ale Mercado Illustration produced four exclusive illustrations for this event and showed a total of ten animated illustrations in a 58 minutes DVD while The Blue Ghost -a local band- played.
"Airtight is a multi-media night on the 27th of December in Kilkenny and we plan to bring it to Dublin. It involves Bands, DJs, Art, Animation and Film in a club.
This event is an independent arts session and has being going for a good few years now it has a good mix of people going to it! As well as involved.
We try to show or play something that people might not get to see or hear or maybe introduce different styles but give the night a flow of variety you might say! With a lively atmosphere in a venue with up and coming local/national artist to more established artist in the area and beyond with as pro. A set up as we can. We would like to bring expand the content of this type of event and mix of style to add more diversity to the event itself and give inspiration to artists and audience." - Andy Harte. BobPowerAllStars played in Ryans in Kilkenny last October.
BobPowerAllStars played songs from their album A New High in Lo-Fi along with some Pixies and Stone Roses covers.
This is the poster for the gig.
It is done with dip pens (Hunt 102) and Indian ink. In a later stage it was traced and coloured in the computer.
BobPowerAllStars first CD is titled A new High in Lo Fi.
We designed all their illustrations included in the Cd packaging. Here you can see the CD cover.
It's painted with acrylics over paper. The computer was used only to perform some colour corrections.
